Residential Interior
Interior direction for a private residence, working with the client's existing art collection and a commitment to craft-led materiality. [REPLACE]
Overview
[REPLACE] The brief arrived through a long-standing relationship with the client. They had recently acquired a larger home and wanted an interior that could hold their growing art collection without becoming a gallery. The home had to remain a home.
The Approach
[REPLACE] We worked backwards from the collection, mapping sightlines and adjacencies before making any material decisions. The spatial strategy was built around the idea of compression and release — rooms that feel contained, then open unexpectedly.
The Outcome
[REPLACE] The completed interior holds the collection without overpowering it. Three pieces that had been in storage for years were finally hung in positions that gave them room to be seen properly.
